Sustainability Policy

Our sustainability policy aims to respect the ecological system in all our subsidiaries and affiliates in order to live in a clean world, leave a more livable life to future generations, and protect the natural and cultural heritage. In this context, our Company considers sustainability activities on the basis of environmental, social and corporate management and updates its activities in this field every day. Our company has ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate and carries out its activities in line with the principle of respect for the environment by implementing policies regarding the Environmental Management System, acting with a sense of responsibility towards nature and the environment. The Sustainability Policy has been addressed as a guide to be used during the realization of all activities and decision-making, and to cover global stakeholders in the entire value chain with whom we interact directly or indirectly.

The subjects of the Sustainability Policy are as follows;

1. To carry out all our activities in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,
2. Taking improvement actions to reduce negativities by measuring and evaluating the economic, environmental and social impacts of all activities,
3. To strive for the development of our society within the framework of the principle of corporate social responsibility, to support our employees to volunteer for appropriate social and community activities in which they will take part with social responsibility awareness,
4. Not accepting discrimination within and outside the institution due to language, race, color, gender, political thought, belief, religion, sect, age, physical disability and similar reasons, to ensure that people with different beliefs, thoughts and opinions work in harmony,
5. By preventing all kinds of discrimination, providing employees with employment, career management, remuneration, performance evaluation, etc. to ensure equal rights in matters,
6. Ensuring and protecting the health and safety of our employees is our primary business goal,
7. To take all necessary precautions regarding occupational health and safety. To eliminate the factors that cause work accidents,
8. Organizing occupational safety training for its personnel,
9. Trying to increase women’s employment at all levels by supporting the development of women’s employment and their qualified active participation,
10. To preserve ecological balance, reduce the use of natural resources and ensure the consumption of recyclable materials,
11. To raise awareness about environmental sustainability by informing staff about the Environmental Law and other legal regulations.
12. In addition to its legal obligations, to support all kinds of initiatives that will help the development and dissemination of the best nature-protecting solutions, practices and nature-friendly technologies and increase environmental awareness,
13. To constantly monitor and improve energy efficiency studies, to create the necessary infrastructure and to work to renew the existing one,
14. To strive to increase the use of renewable energy sources (RES) in energy consumption,
15. By investing in the electric automotive sector, ensuring the spread of such environmentally friendly vehicles and systems,
16. To calculate, verify and monitor emission releases from activities to combat climate change,
17. To aim to use raw materials, semi-finished products, finished goods and services that are least harmful to people, the environment and nature in line with sustainability targets,
18. To avoid any action that will contribute to the financing of the conflict within the scope of the conflict minerals policy, to comply with the relevant United Nations sanctions decisions or local laws implementing these decisions, if any, and to support our suppliers and business partners to comply with the same issues,
19. Taking the holistic approach of RMI (Responsible Minerals Initiative) as a reference in global responsible purchasing activities.
